Angry at reports that Prince Charles
was holding secret talks to secure a wedding in Scotland, his private secretary
Stephen Lamport sent a letter of complaint on official St James's Palace headed
paper saying: "I should like to make it clear that there is no truth
whatsoever to the story."
A royal source said the Prince had backed the complaint: "This is not just
about the Prince of Wales. He is concerned for the feelings of his children,
the children of Mrs Parker Bowles, the memory of his late wife and his public
role."
Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles, who were attending the birthday party
of travel firm boss and polo player Jeffrey Kent, spent half-an-hour enjoying a
glass of champagne on the pavement Harry's BAr in London´s West End, last
week. Among the other guests were Camilla's ex-husband Andrew and his wife
Rosemary. |
