The EastEnders team celebrate their
seven
awards, flanked by past and present executive
producers John Yorke and Matthew Robinson
But it wasn't doom and gloom for the other
soaps, as Coronation Street, Brookside, Emmerdale and
Hollyoaks all walked off with gongs as well. The ceremony, held in
London, was a star studded (or should that be sudded?) affair, with many of
TV's best known faces turning up. There were even some faces from yesterday,
with Anita Dobson, Gillian Taylforth and Julie Goodyear all putting in an
appearance. Julie, sheathed in a glamorous gold gown, presented the creator of
Coronation Street, Tony Warren, with a special award.
