Teddy’s currently renegotiating his contract with Man-U and is hoping for another two years. “It was all a question of timing,” says the 33-year-old striker, recalling how he got down on one knee at midnight on New Year’s Eve. “We both wanted to be sure and we also knew that we both wanted to have a family. I’m not usually a person who likes to plan things, but in order to have a family it seems right to get married.” During their turbulent seven-year relationship they’ve split up several times, but Teddy and Nicola now admit they’ve realised they can’t live without each other, and they’re planning a two-part wedding in June; an intimate ceremony with family in church, and a big party later on.		“The first thing I do when I run onto th pitch is look up and see if Nicola’s there,” says Teddy. “He’s sweet,” adds Nicola, “he blows kisses and waves!”
