EXCLUSIVE
JAMES MAJOR AND EMMA NOBLE
TALK FOR THE FIRST TIME OF HIS HEALTH SCARE AND THEIR BABY NEWS

This time last year, James Major hit the headlines after collapsing in public due to a yet-to-be-diagnosed heart problem, causing serious concerns over his health. Now, happily, he's flat-out redecorating the home he shares with his actress wife Emma Noble in preparation for the arrival of their first child in July.

"Last year was a real rollercoaster," admits James, son of Britain's former prime minister John Major. "First we had the problem of trying to discover what was wrong with me, then we had the high point of the wedding followed by the low point of having a pacemaker fitted, and all the stresses associated with that. It wasn't until December that I finally began to pick up, then we discovered the wonderful news that Emma was expecting a baby. It was just the tonic we needed and enabled us to end the year on a really happy note." The strength of the young couple's love has certainly been tested in their first nine months of marriage. "Without Emma I would never have pulled through," says James. "We're best friends. She's all I could wish for in a wife."
