A year into their marriage, David and
Victoria Beckham's devotion to each other is still very much in evidence, even
when they are hundreds of miles apart. Victoria, who flew to Ibiza to perform
her first non-Spice single, had "I luv Becks" emblazoned on her arm. Mrs
Beckham even revealed her football star husband is so supportive of everything
she does that he sang backing vocals on her single.
"David has always
been behind me and has always encouraged me to do my own thing," said Victoria
last week. "It does hit hard if you're being told every day you can't sing, you
can't dance. And that's what I was being told on a daily basis. It was David
who built up my confidence." Although she appeared in a variety of eye-catching
outfits and travelled a total of 8,100 miles promoting the single, she lost out
on the Number One slot to Sophie Ellis Bextor and Spiller, and their single
Groovejet. |
"Forget Beatlemania, this was Beckmania,"
said one
policeman who was involved in
containing over 6,000 screaming fans
when
David and Victoria visited Oldham
last week.

The singer has been mobbed at her
record signings. Fans who turned up to see her single launch at the Virgin
Megastore in London were delighted when Becks appeared, and added his own
signature to Posh's as they signed copies.
And you could be seeing a
lot more of Posh and Becks than you bargained for. The couple have been offered
£200,000 to strip off to appear together for the American version of
Playboy magazine. Said Victoria: "I would seriously consider it if the
offer were genuine." |
