"It's my
philosophy that everything happens for a reason. Maybe it's God's will. I have
to be strong for my children. I don't hate the men who killed my husband. I
have a lot of anger in me but not hate. Hate is such a deep-rooted and negative
emotion. People have rallied round and given me everything. Not just
Zimbabweans but the whole world and because of that generosity, I really don't
think I can leave here. There is so much love around it's incredible."
(The widow
of murdered Zimbabwean farmer David, Maria Stevens tells us how she's finding
the strength to cope with the loss of her husband and her feelings towards
their troubled country). |
