The Princess also has two brothers on her father's side: Prince Christian and Prince Ernst August of Hannover. Speaking to Elle España about her siblings, Alexandra said, "I feel very close to them, and they're some of the most important relationships in my life. Growing up with a lot of older siblings has been very interesting, as has watching them grow and see how they've gone through different stages of their lives. I feel very fortunate because, with them, their partners and families have come along, and I have great relationships with all of them. That's made the process of growing up less intimidating. Watching them move out, start homes, and raise their children has made the future less scary, I guess."

I had, of course, to show up every day for training, but there was something even better: knowing that no one could do it for me. Sport doesn't care who you are or where you come from. You have to push yourself just like everyone else."
