Max McNown has a royal fan! Princess Madeleine of Sweden recently attended one of the Nashville-based singer's shows. The artist performed in Stockholm, Sweden on March 11. The day after the concert, Max shared a carousel of photos, including a snapshot of himself with the Swedish Princess.
Alongside the pictures, the “A Lot More Free" singer wrote: "'Don’t panic, but we’ve been informed that Princess Madeleine of Sweden is on her way to watch your show.' Those words were NOT on my 2025 Bingo card."
Max added, "I still can’t comprehend the fact that a crowd like this showed up to watch me play my own show in this beautiful country I’ve never even been to before. Last night was unforgettable."
The Princess, 42, looked effortlessly chic for the concert, wearing blue jeans and a black top. According to Svensk Damtidning, Madeleine attended the show with friends, including Emma Pernald, who is said to have written on Instagram (translated to English): "Magic with Max McNown and my country girls."
Madeleine, along with her husband Christopher O'Neill and their three kids, Princess Leonore, 11, and son Prince Nicolas, 9, and Princess Adrienne, 7, relocated to Stockholm, Sweden last year. The family had previously been living in Florida. The Swedish Royal Court announced in 2023 that Madeleine and her husband had decided to "relocate to Sweden indefinitely" after living in the Sunshine State since 2018. While they were due to relocate in 2023, their move ended up being postponed until 2024.
Back in 2019, Princess Madeleine told Mama, "The children have been looking forward to coming to Sweden for such a long time, to their rooms and to their things. But also because we are outside so much more here than we are in Florida. It's so hot there, and you can only be outside for short periods, so for them to be able to be out in the forest and run around, it's a dream. And it's something that I have really missed myself."
In addition to Florida, Madeleine has also lived in New York, which is where she is said to have met her husband through mutual friends. The couple's first child, Princess Leonore, was born in the Big Apple in 2014. Although she's back living in her native Sweden, the United States holds a special in Madeleine's heart. The Princess told PEOPLE in 2024, "The U.S. will always remain close to my heart."
