Serena Williams and Meghan Markle’s close friendship is no secret. The tennis legend recently spent an afternoon at the Duchess of Sussex’s Montecito home, playing with little Lilibet Diana. Meghan shared glimpses of their time together on her social media, capturing Lilibet’s excitement as she played Candy Land with Serena.

“When the aunts come to play and celebrate. Love you, Serena,” Meghan captioned the images. In the photos, Lilibet wears a bright pink tracksuit with floral designs, her signature red hair—a trait inherited from Prince Harry—on full display. Meghan sports a navy blue pinstriped suit, while Serena opts for a burgundy ensemble.

Another snapshot shows Meghan sharing a warm embrace with Serena. Their friendship dates back to 2014, and despite the miles between them and the changes in their lives, they’ve remained close. Serena, a 23-time Grand Slam champion, has been one of Meghan’s most vocal supporters, defending her amid criticism over stepping away from royal life. “She lives her life with empathy and compassion, teaching me every day what it really means to be noble,” Serena has said.

Meghan also used the occasion to remind followers that her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, premieres in three days. The series will offer hosting tips, recipes, and other lifestyle advice.

Lilibet: The British Princess growing up in America

Princess Lilibet Diana has made only a handful of public appearances. Her first was in a Christmas 2021 portrait taken by photographer Alexi Lubomirski when she was six months old. The next came in June 2022, during her first birthday celebration at Frogmore Cottage. Later that year, she briefly appeared in Harry & Meghan, the Netflix documentary about her parents.

Recently, though, the young royal has been seen more often. She appeared in the family’s Christmas card, helped her brother Archie make a strawberry dessert for Valentine’s Day, and even made a cameo in an ad for Meghan’s new brand, As Ever.

During their recent trip to Colombia, Harry and Meghan shared insights into Lilibet’s budding personality. At just three years old, they said, “She has already found her voice. We are very proud of that because it will create a very different environment than the one we grew up in.”
