Two months into 2025 and there have already been multiple royal babies born. From Princess Sofia and Prince Carl Philip of Sweden's fourth child to Queen Rania and King Abdullah II of Jordan's second grandchild, meet the royal babies who have been born so far this year...

Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's daughter, Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi, was born on Jan. 22, 2025. Seven days after her birth, Buckingham Palace shared: "Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter, Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi, born on Wednesday, 22nd January, at 12:57pm, at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London."

"The baby was born weighing 4 pounds and 5 ounces," the palace added. "Their Majesties The King and Queen and other members of The Royal Family have all been informed and are delighted with the news." 

Athena, who is currently eleventh in line to the throne, is the couple's second child together. Beatrice also shares daughter Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi with her husband Edo, who has a son named Christopher Woolf from a previous relationship. In an Instagram post announcing the arrival of his third child, Edo penned: "We welcomed Baby Athena into our lives last week. She is tiny and absolutely perfect. We are all (including Wolfie and Sienna) already completely besotted with her. Our hearts are overflowing with love for you, baby Athena. 💕 A massive thank you from my wife and I goes out to all the wonderful staff at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital for their exceptional care and support during this incredibly special time. 🙏🏼🩷👼."

Princess Maria Laura—the daughter of King Philippe of Belgium's sister Princess Astrid—and her husband William Isvy welcomed their first child, a son named Albert, on Jan. 26, 2025. The Belgian Royal Palace announced the baby's arrival, writing on X (translated to English): "Princess Maria Laura and Mr William Isvy are very happy to announce the birth of their son Albert. He was born on Sunday 26 January in Brussels, weighs 3.5 kg and, like his mother, is doing well. Their families share in this great joy."

Sweden

Princess Sofia and Prince Carl Philip of Sweden became a family of six this year with the birth of their first daughter. Princess Ines Marie Lilian Silvia, who is currently eighth in line to the Swedish throne, was born on Feb. 7 at Danderyd Hospital in Stockholm. She is the Prince Couple's fourth child. Sofia and Carl Philip also share three sons: Prince Alexander, Prince Gabriel and Prince Julian. Following his daughter's birth, proud dad Carl Philip said (translated to English), "We are happy to welcome our newborn daughter into the world. The big brothers are now looking forward to getting to know their new little sister."

Jordan

The Jordanian royal family grew with the birth of Princess Iman and her husband Jameel Alexander Thermiotis' first child on Feb. 16. The couple's daughter Amina, who is Queen Rania and King Abdullah II's second grandchild, was born at the Prince Hashem bin Abdullah II Hospital in Aqaba. Proud grandmother Rania took to her Instagram to share photos of her newborn granddaughter following Amina's birth. "My darling Iman is now a mother. We’re grateful and overjoyed to meet Amina, our family’s newest blessing," Her Majesty captioned the photos. "Congratulations Jameel and Iman – may God bless you and your precious little girl."

King Abdullah also celebrated his granddaughter's arrival, writing on X (translated to English), "I congratulate my dear Iman and dear Jameel on the birth of their daughter, Amina. We thank God for His countless blessings, and we ask Him to protect her and make her one of the righteous. God bless you, Grandpa."
