The Prince and Princess of Wales are reportedly enjoying a getaway in the Caribbean. According to The Mail on Sunday, Prince William and Catherine flew to the private island of Mustique last Thursday for a holiday with their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
A source told the outlet that the royals, who have previously vacationed on the island, flew to Saint Lucia before taking a private flight to Mustique. The Mail on Sunday reported that it's thought that the Princess' mother, Carole Middleton, is also on the island.
George, 11, Charlotte, 9, and Louis, 6, are currently on their half-term break from Lambrook School. The family's tropical getaway comes a month after The Mail on Sunday reported that the Waleses went on a ski holiday in the Alps shortly after Christmas. The royal couple and their kids were reportedly spotted enjoying morning hot drinks at a mountaintop restaurant.
A member of staff revealed to The Mail on Sunday: "It was lovely to see Kate relaxing and enjoying herself."
"They looked like a normal English family, and a lot of people didn't recognise them. It was not the first time we had seen them," the staff member added. "They have been coming here for years. I think they love the area. We often see Kate's sister Pippa as well."
Catherine's brother James Middleton and his wife Alizée Thevenet are also said to have been there. "There were no airs and graces and actually they seemed like any normal family enjoying a ski break. There were lots of laughs and the children were very polite," an onlooker told the outlet. "The only reason you would have known that they were people of importance was because when Kate arrived so did a group of security guards. Kate looked like she was having a lovely time."
The Princess of Wales announced in September that she had completed her chemotherapy treatment. Following her first public engagement of 2025, Catherine revealed that she is in remission. After her visit to the Royal Marsden Hospital on Jan. 14, Her Royal Highness wrote, "I wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to The Royal Marsden for looking after me so well during the past year. My heartfelt thanks goes to all those who have quietly walked alongside William and me as we have navigated everything. We couldn’t have asked for more. The care and advice we have received throughout my time as a patient has been exceptional."
"In my new role as Joint Patron of The Royal Marsden, my hope is, that by supporting groundbreaking research and clinical excellence, as well as promoting patient and family wellbeing, we might save many more lives, and transform the experience of all those impacted by cancer," Catherine continued. "It is a relief to now be in remission and I remain focussed on recovery. As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support. C."
