The Prince and Princess of Wales celebrated Valentine's Day on Friday with a photo of Prince William sweetly giving Catherine a kiss on her cheek. The image was simply captioned with a red heart emoji: "❤️."

The photo, which shows the royal couple holding hands as they sat together on a blanket, was captured by Will Warr in Norfolk last August. The PDA moment was featured in the personal video released back in September, in which Catherine announced that she had completed her chemotherapy treatment.

When the Princess revealed last March that she had started a course of preventative chemotherapy, she shared that having her husband Prince William by her "side is a great source of comfort and reassurance."

The Prince and Princess of Wales, who met as students at the University of St. Andrews, will celebrate 14 years of marriage in April. Last month, the heir to the throne proclaimed his love for his wife and praised her strength. In a moving tribute for her 43rd birthday, Prince William penned, "To the most incredible wife and mother. The strength you’ve shown over the last year has been remarkable. George, Charlotte, Louis and I are so proud of you. Happy Birthday, Catherine. We love you. W."

Five days after her birthday, the Princess of Wales announced that she is in remission. Following her visit to the Royal Marsden Hospital on Jan. 14, Her Royal Highness wrote, "I wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to The Royal Marsden for looking after me so well during the past year. My heartfelt thanks goes to all those who have quietly walked alongside William and me as we have navigated everything. We couldn’t have asked for more. The care and advice we have received throughout my time as a patient has been exceptional.

"In my new role as Joint Patron of The Royal Marsden, my hope is, that by supporting groundbreaking research and clinical excellence, as well as promoting patient and family wellbeing, we might save many more lives, and transform the experience of all those impacted by cancer," she continued. "It is a relief to now be in remission and I remain focussed on recovery. As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support. C."
