The Sussexes look like one happy family in a previously unseen photo! A picture of Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, was spotted on display in Gloria Steinem's Manhattan brownstone. The journalist and activist welcomed Architectural Digest into her brownstone for a story featured in AD’s January issue.
The sweet black-and-white image of the family of four, inside a card, was placed on a table under a Tiffany-style lamp in Gloria's living room. The close-up shot of the Sussexes shows the Duke, Duchess and their kids lying on the ground. Harry and Lilibet were photographed smiling, while Meghan laughed as her son Archie adorably put one of his hands on her face.
The article on Gloria's home was published online in December. It's unclear whether the picture she had of the Sussexes was the royals' private holiday card. Meghan and Harry had two holiday cards last year. The one that was publicly released featured six photos, including a snapshot of five-year-old Archie and three-year-old Lilibet running towards their parents. "On behalf of the office of Prince Harry & Meghan The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Archewell Productions and Archewell Foundation," the card, which was intended for professional use, read, "We wish you a very happy holiday season and a joyful New Year."
The family had a separate card that was sent to their close family and friends. Meghan, who lives in California with her husband and kids, has referred to Gloria as her friend. Back in 2020, the pair sat down for a backyard chat to discuss voting, and cold-called voters together, and in 2023, the Duchess received a Women of Vision Award from Gloria. Meghan thanked Gloria in her speech at the 2023 Women of Vision Awards, saying, "And to my friend Gloria, for the inspiration that you are, for your mentorship, your sage advice, your extraordinarily cheeky sense of humor and, of course, for your incredible friendship, thank you.”
Gloria has praised Meghan in the past, calling her "authentic" and "funny." During a 2020 interview with Access, Gloria said, "Meg is herself smart, authentic, funny, political. She came home to vote and the first thing we did and why she came to see me was we sat at the dining room table here where I am right now and cold called voters and said, 'Hello I'm Meg' and 'hello I'm Gloria and are you going to vote?' That was her initiative."
