Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa of Jordan look every bit the doting parents in a new photo with their baby girl, Princess Iman. The photo of the royal family of three was shared by Queen Rania and King Abdullah's 30-year-old son on New Year's Eve.
The Crown Prince proudly held his little Princess in the picture, while Rajwa looked on with her hands on her husband's shoulders. "Grateful for God’s countless blessings. Wishing you and our beloved Jordan a New Year filled with success and prosperity," Hussein wrote in the Instagram caption. According to posts on social media, the image was featured in the Crown Prince and Rajwa's New Year's card.
This past year was no doubt a special one for the royal couple. Hussein and Rajwa celebrated one year of marriage in June, and two months later, they became first-time parents. The Crown Prince and Princess welcomed their daughter, Princess Iman, on Aug. 3.
"Their Royal Highnesses are immensely overjoyed and thankful on welcoming their firstborn, and call on well-wishers to consider donating to Al-Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans in lieu of sending gifts or flowers," the Royal Hashemite Court said in a statement announcing the royal baby's birth. Iman, whose name is a "feminine Arabic name meaning 'belief' and 'faith,'" is Queen Rania and King Abdullah II's first grandchild.
Following his daughter's arrival, the Crown Prince wrote on his Instagram: "Praise be to God for His abundant blessings. We are immensely grateful for the safe birth of our daughter and the health of my beloved wife, Rajwa."
Hussein added, "Our heartfelt thanks to our family and the Jordanian people for their kind wishes, which deeply touched us during these special moments."
Ahead of the New Year, Hussein's mother shared a family photo on her personal Instagram account, which showed her and the King surrounded by their four kids, Crown Prince Hussein, Princess Iman, Princess Salma and Prince Hashem, as well as their daughter-in-law Princess Rajwa and their son-in-law Jameel Thermiotis. Alongside the family picture, Queen Rania penned: "As we usher in the New Year, we pray for peaceful, more compassionate days ahead."
