Royal holiday greetings have gone out! From the Sussexes in California to the Waleses in the UK and King Felipe and Queen Letizia in Spain, royals around the world have been releasing their annual holiday cards throughout the month of December. See the family snapshots that Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco, the Prince and Princess of Wales and more used for their 2024 holiday cards...
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle included a rare photo of their son Prince Archie and daughter Princess Lilibet in their holiday card this year. "On behalf of the office of Prince Harry & Meghan The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Archewell Productions and Archewell Foundation," the card's message reads, "We wish you a very happy holiday season and a joyful New Year."
HOLA! USA understands that this card is intended for professional use and that the family has sent a separate card to their close family and friends, which won't be publicly released.
King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium
Princess Elisabeth, Prince Gabriel, Prince Emmanuel and Princess Eléonore of Belgium stood behind their parents, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde, in the Belgian royal family's Christmas card photo. The card features a message that reads: "Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year."
King Charles and Queen Camilla
For their 2024 Christmas card, King Charles and Queen Camilla used a photo of themselves taken by photographer Millie Pilkington in the gardens at Buckingham Palace this past April. "Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year," Their Majesties' message inside of the card reads.
The Prince and Princess of Wales
The Waleses' 2024 card features a poignant photo of the family of five. The previously seen image was captured by Will Warr in August, while filming the royals for the video that Catherine used to announce that she had completed her chemotherapy treatment. A message printed inside reads: "Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year."
Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco
Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco opted for a cozy photo of their family for their 2024 Christmas card photo. The royal couple and their twins, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, were dressed in neutral-colored sweaters for the picture taken by Eric Mathon. The Prince's Palace shared the festive image on Instagram, writing (translated to English): “The Princier Palace is pleased to share with you the photo of the greeting card of the Princier family."
King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain
The Spanish royals paid tribute to the victims of the DANA with their 2024 Christmas card, which features an excerpt from Francisco Brines' poem "A Trace of Happiness." Translated to English, it reads, "And I seek a face that reflects light, someone who, like me, though only holding death, also holds, as I once did, defying it, life."
In addition to the tribute to the deceased, their families and the thousands affected by the DANA, the Spanish royals' 2024 card includes a message from Felipe, Letizia and their daughters, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia, that translates to: "Merry Christmas, and may we all face the New Year with greater confidence."
"With our best wishes and great affection" was handwritten underneath, along with the four royals' signatures. A photo of the family of four, which was taken at the Royal Palace on the tenth anniversary of King Felipe's proclamation earlier this year, was used for the holiday card.
