The Belgian royals are together again in their 2024 Christmas card photo! Queen Mathilde and King Philippe of Belgium's annual card was revealed on Dec. 11. This year's card features a photo of Their Majesties sitting down, while their kids, Princess Elisabeth, Prince Gabriel, Prince Emmanuel and Princess Eléonore, stood behind them, smiling.
Queen Mathilde and her daughter Elisabeth both wore velvet dresses for the photo. The 23 year old looked festive in a burgundy design, while her younger sister Princess Eléonore and their mom were dressed in blue.
"Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year," a message inside of the card reads with the King and Queen's signatures below. The names of the couple's children were printed beneath Philippe and Mathilde's signatures.
The Belgian Royal Palace shared the family's card on Instagram, writing (translated to English): "📬 The new Royal Family Christmas cards have just been sent out! ✨."
The release of the Christmas card came a week after Mathilde and Philippe celebrated 25 years of marriage. New photos of the couple were released to mark the occasion on Dec. 4. "🩶 The King and Queen celebrate their silver wedding anniversary today," the Belgian Royal Palace captioned the images on Instagram (translated to English). "25 years of happy marriage and counting! 🖤💛❤️."
The King and Queen share four children. Their eldest child, Princess Elisabeth, was born in 2001, followed by their second child, Prince Gabriel, in 2003, their third child, Prince Emmanuel, in 2005 and their fourth child, Princess Eléonore, in 2008.
Elisabeth is first in line to the Belgian throne. The future Queen of Belgium graduated with her bachelor's degree in history and politics from Lincoln College, University of Oxford this past July, and is now studying at Harvard Kennedy School in Cambridge, Massachusetts for a master’s degree in public policy.
