King Charles and Queen Camilla are remembering their late dog this holiday season. The Christmas tree at Highgrove Gardens features a tribute to Their Majesties' rescue dog Beth, who passed away this month. According to The Telegraph, there is an ornament of Beth wearing a red bandana decorated with a crown. There is also an ornament of the Queen's other dog Bluebell wearing a crown.

The Telegraph reported that the ornaments were placed on the tree earlier this month before it was known that Beth was ill.

Buckingham Palace announced the passing of Queen Camilla's "much-loved companion" on Nov. 18. "A sad farewell to Beth, The Queen’s much-loved companion from @Battersea Dogs and Cats Home who brought such joy, whether on walkies, helping on official duties, or curled up by the fire. 🐾," the royal family's official Instagram account wrote alongside a carousel of photos and a video of Beth.

PEOPLE previously reported that it understands the Queen's dog had an untreatable tumor and had to be put down. Camilla rescued Beth from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in 2011. The following year, Her Majesty adopted Bluebell, another Jack Russell Terrier, from the charity.

"Beth was handed in to Battersea by a family who could no longer care for her, whilst poor Bluebell was just 4 weeks old when she was dumped in a London park, starving, shivering and suffering from a terrible skin condition that had left her almost bald," according to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home's website. "It was love at first sight and, as we all feel about our pets, Her Majesty cannot imagine her home, or her sofa, without these colourful characters."

Following the palace's announcement, the charity, which Camilla is patron of, wrote on Instagram that they were "very sad to hear" that Beth had passed away. Battersea Dogs & Cats Home added, "Her Majesty, our Patron, rehomed Beth from Battersea in 2011 and we have many fond memories of Beth visiting our centres over the years. Our thoughts are with Their Majesties at this time. We know how difficult it is to lose a beloved pet and Beth was very special indeed. 💙."
