Princess Sofia of Sweden's baby bump was on display during her visit to Gränby School. Ahead of World Children's Day, the royal attended a round table discussion arranged by the Prince Couple's Foundation and Skandia Ideas for Life at the school. The discussion on Tuesday, Nov. 19, focused on "the school and the internet and what challenges and opportunities these arenas represent for the realization of children's rights," according to the Swedish Royal Court.
Sofia and Prince Carl Philip's Instagram account shared photos from the outing, writing (translated to English): "We gathered representatives from various authorities, schools, municipalities and student representatives for a round table discussion about democracy and safety online. I also heard about Gränbyskolan's value-based work through their use of Lajka, a free educational material, which@prinsparetsstiftelsehas produced. It was a nice and important day with a big focus on children's rights in a digital context!"
The Swedish Princess dressed her baby bump in a cozy autumn outfit, wearing a chocolate sweater, which she teamed with pants and a beige poncho, for the engagement. Sofia was out again on Wednesday, Nov. 20, for a seminar organized by UNICEF and the Riksdag's UN Network, looking holiday-ready in a red outfit.
It was revealed in early September that Sofia and her husband, Prince Carl Philip, are expecting their fourth child. "Their Royal Highnesses Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia are delighted to announce that The Princess is expecting their fourth child," the Swedish Royal Court said. "Princess Sofia is feeling well, and the birth is expected to take place in February 2025." It was noted at the time that no changes to Sofia's fall public schedule were planned.
Carl Philip and Sofia, who have been married since 2015, are already parents to three sons. The Prince and Princess became parents in 2016 with the birth of Prince Alexander. The couple's second son, Prince Gabriel, was born in 2017, followed by their third son, Prince Julian, in 2021. Days after welcoming her third child, Sofia wrote on Instagram, “Life has given me not just one but four beautiful princes❤.”
