Future European Queens traveled to Denmark to celebrate fellow future monarch Prince Christian . Crown Princess Mary and Crown Prince Frederik ’s eldest son, who is second in line to the danish throne, turned 18 on Sunday, Oct. 15. In honor of her grandson’s milestone birthday, Queen Margrethe II hosted a gala dinner at Christiansborg Palace.

Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway, Princess Catharina-Amalia of the Netherlands, Princess Elisabeth of Belgium and Princess Estelle of Sweden were among the foreign royals at the celebration. The Princesses, with the exception of 11-year-old Estelle, put on a dazzling display wearing tiaras to the event.

First in line to the Dutch throne
Princess Catharina-Amalia of the Netherlands attended the birthday gala dinner sans her parents, Queen Maxima and King Willem-Alexander. The Princess of Orange looked regal wearing a blue cape gown and the Dutch Sapphire Necklace Tiara.
First in line to the Belgian throne
Princess Elisabeth of Belgium opted for a strapless ballgown paired with matching gloves and The Wolfers Tiara.
Second in line to the Norwegian throne
Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway, who attended with her parents Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit, wore the diamond and pearl tiara that she was gifted for her 18th birthday last year.
Second in line to the Swedish throne
Princess Estelle looked pretty in pink as she accompanied her parents, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, to the celebration in Copenhagen.
Young heirs
The five young heirs posed for a group portrait in the Fløylsgemakket of Christiansborg Palace on Oct. 15. Alongside the image, the Danish Royal House wrote, “🇩🇰 🇳🇴 🇸🇪 🇳🇱 🇧🇪 Five of Europe’s future monarchs have gathered for His Royal Highness Prince Christian’s 18th birthday.”
