This past year was full of royal firsts for Prince George , Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis . It was also the year Charles acceded to the throne following the death of his beloved mother, Queen Elizabeth , and Prince William and Catherine officially became the Prince and Princess of Wales. On Feb. 6, Queen Elizabeth became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee.
Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis made their carriage debut at Trooping the Colour in June.
The Waleses and Sussexes came together two days after the death of Queen Elizabeth to view floral tributes left for the late monarch in Windsor. The Prince and Princess of Wales traveled to Boston to attend the second annual Earthshot Prize Awards ceremony, which was held on Dec. 2.
