The Dutch royal family made a colorful splash at their annual summer photocall this year. Queen Maxima , King Willem-Alexander and their daughters–Princess Catharina-Amalia, 17, Princess Alexia, 16, and Princess Ariane, 14–posed for the photos on Friday, July 16 in the garden of Huis ten Bosch Palace in The Hague.

The royal mom of three wore a vibrant palm print midi dress from Zimmermann. The King opted for a burgundy blazer and navy trousers.
Princess Catharina-Amalia brought a black clutch, which she posed with, to the photocall.
Stylish sisters! The monarchs’ eldest daughter coordinated with her father wearing a red blazer teamed with jeans. Princess Alexia also wore pants, green ones, paired with a white puff sleeve top, while younger sister Princess Ariane donned a printed dress.
Huis ten Bosch Palace served as the backdrop for the summer photos. Speaking about what he was looking forward to during their holiday, the King said (via the AD) the “five of us in the boat. No security, no staff, just the five of us.”
Princess Ariane, the King and Queen’s youngest child, shared a sweet moment with her mother.
The King and heir to the Dutch throne coordinated in blazers. According to AD, Maxima and Willem-Alexander said that Princess Catharina-Amalia’s gap year will be a mix of staying at home and abroad, and will include internships in the corporate world.
The Queen and her Princesses! Per AD, Maxima praised students, who obtained a diploma during the pandemic, as well as their parents. She said, “Bravo, really. I think I speak for all mothers: especially at the end, it has been so difficult to motivate them again. Get off your bed and sit down at your desk. I hear it from all parents.”
