Over a month after starting school, and subsequently being quarantined, Queen Letizia and King Felipe ’s daughters returned to the spotlight for a busy week of engagements in Madrid and Oviedo. While Princess Leonor , 14, and Infanta Sofia , 13, have been known to twin in the past, the royal teenagers showed off their individual style during their recent public outings.

The sisters kicked off their week celebrating Spain’s National Day on Oct. 12 alongside their parents. Leonor wore a flared skirt and & Other Stories puff sleeve $34 sweater. Sofia, on the other hand, opted for navy trousers, which she teamed with a white Zara blouse that featured a statement bow.

Queen Letizia’s daughters bundled up in chic outerwear for their visit to the La Vega Weapons Factory on Oct. 15 in Oviedo. Proving that stylish minds think alike, the sisters both turned to Carolina Herrera with Sofia recycling a navy coat by the designer and Leonor pairing her white jacket with a $79.99 green Mango dress.

The future Queen of Spain looked efortessly stylish donning a printed dress (€59.90) from the Spanish brand Poète that featured a tiered skirt. Leonor wore the floral design and black kitten heels on Oct. 16 to congratulate winners before the 2020 Princess of Asturias Awards ceremony.

King Felipe’s firstborn completed her look on Oct. 16 with a fishtail braid half-do.

Unlike her big sister Leonor who wore a printed design, Infanta Sofia decided to wear a $79.99 red belted shirtdress from Mango, which she paired with Pretty Ballerinas flats, to the audience.

The royal siblings rounded out the week at the 2020 Princess of Asturias Awards ceremony on Oct. 16. The Spanish Princesses looked grown up wearing two-piece sets, according to Elle Spain. Leonor, who styled her golden locks down straight, chose a champagne colored skirt with a matching embroidered top, while Sofia wore a green skirt and polka dot blouse for the royal family affair.
“If there is something that my sister Sofía and I have learned, it is the sense of responsibility,” Leonor said in her remarks at the ceremony. “Our parents have always taught us this. And I think the young people of my generation are also aware of this. A sense of responsibility that goes through never forgetting the people around us, who love us and who we love.”
