The Chinese zodiac signs of some of our favorite royals

Based on the lunar calendar, the Chinese zodiac assigns animals and certain characteristics to people based on their birth year, on a 12-year cycle. Since the Chinese New Year falls at the end of January or early February, those born earlier in a year may pertain to the previous year’s Chinese zodiac. Such is the case for  Kate Middleton  whose January 9 birthday puts her in the same sign as  Meghan Markle  – the Rooster – although Meghan was born the year before Kate. Queen Elizabeth – born 1926. Tigers are known for being kind and benevolent. With boundless energy and rich emotions they tend to stick with something despite challenges put in their way – they never give up. Given Queen Eliabeth’s 68-year reign, we can see she’s certainly displayed these characteristics!

Apparently Feminism and gender equality are important to Dragons. This fits as Princess Marie is Patron of the UNESCO Commission which often focuses on women’s issues.

Prince George – born 2013. Men born under this sign tend to be gentle and love to crack a joke. They are said to believe in romance and may give their significant other sweet surprises. They are often also creative and empathetic. Mom Kate Middleton has revealed that George loves painting and drawing – so this fits well!
