 Prince Harry  and  Meghan Markle ’s royal wedding was one for the history books. On May 19, 2018, millions around the world tuned in to watch the Prince and the former actress tie the knot during a magical ceremony. Meghan had her best friend by her side at the very start of her big day. The Duchess’ mother Doria Ragland was a proud mother of the bride as she and her daughter made their arrival to St. George’s Chapel.

The Power of Love Bishop Michael Bruce Curry delivered an unforgettable sermon as he zealously spoke before the crowd gathered at St. George‘s. The Chicago bishop obviously discussed love, but also touched on topics including American slavery and even quoted Martin Luther King Jr. “When love is the way we actually treat each other like, well, like we are actually family.”

Following the ceremony, the Bishop gained popularity for his powerful message.

In the absence of her father, Meghan’s father-in-law Prince Charles stepped in to make sure the bride had the proper send off. Months following the ceremony, Prince Harry became emotional as he opened up about the moment he asked his father to do the honors.

“I asked him, and I think he knew it was coming, and he immediately said, ‘Yes, of course, I’ll do whatever Meghan needs,’ and I’m here to support you,’” the Prince said in the documentary Prince, Son and Heir, Charles at 70.
