Picture perfect couple! Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have always left fans marveling over their love. From the moment they officially confirmed their romance, fans have followed their journey. Throughout their years in the spotlight, the Duke and Duchess’ special moments have been captured in photos. Pictures from engagements (royal and their own) their wedding, the introduction of their son and their final royal hurrah, all tell a unique story. It’s Official

After months of speculation, Prince Harry and Meghan (who was an actress on Suits at the time) made their relationship public. The royal and the Hollywood star shocked the world when they made their debut hand-in-hand as they attended the wheelchair tennis match at the 2017 Invictus Games.

Throughout the event, the royal made sure his girlfriend was comfortable as he held her hand. When they walked in and out of the games, the he introduced her as “his girlfriend.”

The field-side date was the only time the pair went public during the weekend, however, Harry did find time to sneak away and watch another game with Meghan and her mother Doria Ragland in the skybox where they were spotted sharing kisses and sweet moments.

Tell the world – they’re engaged!

On November 27, 2017 Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stunned the world when they announced that they were engaged. The remarkable news came as a shock, as the pair had only been dating for a year. Still, after the early trails of their relationship and long distance, love prevailed.

The duo stepped outside of Sunken Gardens at Kensington Palace and smiled from ear-to-ear as they briefly addressed the press and showed off the beautiful engagement ring designed by the royal.

A month prior, the actress and activist opened up about their love for one another in an interview with Vanity Fair. “I can tell you that at the end of the day I think it’s really simple. We’re two people who are really happy and in love.”

A look inside their love

After shocking the world with the news of their engagement, one year after confirming their romance, the pair sat down for their official interview. There, the actress and the royal spoke candidly about the details of their love.

Harry and Meghan sat with their hands interlocked for the full portion of the 20-minute interview, where they shared the details of their engagement, relationship and future. It was there that the Prince shared one of the most romantic lines about their future as a couple.

“I know that at the end of the day she chooses me and I chose her," he said during the BBC interview. "And at the end of the day, whatever we have to tackle together or individually, will always be us together as a team. She’s capable of anything.”

Working hand-in-hand and side by side

If the phrase “teamwork makes the dream work,” were a couple, it would be Meghan and Harry in this moment. Just a couple weeks outside of their big announcement, the pair traveled to Nottingham were they marked their first join engagement as a couple.

There, the pair set the bar for their work that would be done together across the Commonwealth. And even broke the protocol of PDA. Meghan was a natural as she navigated the crowds of royal watchers and Harry was every bit of a gentleman, as he made sure she was comfortable the entire time.

It’s no surprise as the Duke knew that she would be the perfect addition to the royal team. “I know the fact that she will be unbelievably good at the job part of it as well is obviously a huge relief to me because she will be able to deal with everything else that comes with it,” he told BBC. “We’re a fantastic team. We know we are. And we hope to, over time, try and have as much impact for the things that we care about as much as possible”.

The most magical day

May 19, 2018 will forever go down as one of the most romantic moments in history. After the “stars aligned” and brought the Prince and the California girl together, they tied the knot in front of the world.

There are countless moments, including when the Prince first saw his bride, Meghan’s moment with her father-in-law Prince Charles and the moment the moment they said “I do.” This picture, in particular, sums up one of the best moments of the day. Harry and Meghan left St. George’s Chapel hand-in-and sealed their union with a kiss on the steps.

Although that day, the pair made a forever vow, being in it for the long haul was never a question. “ It was just, you know, it was just obvious that no matter what we were being put through that it was just temporary and that we were going to be able to get through that. So everybody was really happy.”

An exciting new chapter – and the photo that comes with it

When the Duke and Duchess of Sussex posed for this photo during an engagement in the U.K. they probably didn’t realize the significance it would take. The photo of the duo sitting next to each other and smiling will forever be attached to one of the biggest moments of their life – their baby announcement.

"Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019. Under my umbrella

This sweet moment in the rain captured their love and bond in one image. During their visit to Australia, the Duke took the podium to address royal watchers at an event in Dubbo.

As the pair waited for Harry’s turn to actress the crowd, the royal made sure he and his wife were dry. When the time came for him to speak, he politely turned down someone’s offer to hold the umbrella over his head. Instead, he insisted on his wife, who proudly did the honors and help the Prince dry throughout the minutes long speech.

Royal tour for 3!

Harry and Meghan embarked on their first royal tour as a married couple – and family of three. Over the moon about sharing their news with the world, the pair got to work as they embarked on their tour of New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga. One of their sweetest moments do date came when they joined a group along a beach in Sydney, Australia.

During the outing, Harry spent time rubbing his wife’s back and sharing sweet PDA. Harry and Meghan were not only appreciative of the time spent with each other, but for the welcome the received as well.

"From myself, my wife and our little bump, we are so grateful to be here. We bring blessings from my grandmother the Queen and our family. We are so grateful for your hospitality and the work to look after this beautiful place."

Lens of love

After days of posing for photographers, Prince Harry turned the lens on his wife and her baby bump. The pair used to photo to thank everyone for all of the love that was shown to them during their first royal tour.

But it wasn’t the caption that made the picture special. In the snap, Meghan stood in a rainforest, wrapped in her husband’s jacket, cradling her bump. It was later revealed that the picture was taken when the pair snuck away from their team.

Royal reporter Omid Scobie shared how: “At the end of our last engagement, Harry and Meghan walked ahead of their team, security and myself (who was the pool reporter). We were in the beautiful Whakaewarewa and they wanted a moment to themselves. This photo, taken by Harry, was the result of that moment.”

Sussex party of 3

Harry and Meghan went from a family of two to three. On May 6, 2019, the pair welcomed their son Archie Harrison. Two days after Archie’s birth, the pair introduced the baby boy to the world.

Meghan had the new mommy glow and Harry was in his element as a father. The pair spoke about their latest milestone and their first moments as parents.

"It's magic, it's pretty amazing. I have the two best guys in the world so I'm really happy. He has the sweetest temperament, he's really calm,” Meghan said. The Duke, chimed in with love. “It's great. Parenting is amazing. It's only been two and a half days, three days, but we're just so thrilled to have our own little bundle of joy."

A family affair

After the birth of their son Archie Harrison, royal watchers were let in one of the royal family’s most intimate moments. In a post, shared on the official Sussex Royal page, the world saw when Archie met his great-grandparents, the Queen and Prince Philip.

The picture shows Meghan holding her newborn son as the Queen and Philip look on full of smiles. Also in the photo is Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland.

“This afternoon Their Royal Highnesses introduced Her Majesty The Queen to her eighth great-grandchild at Windsor Castle. The Duke of Edinburgh and The Duchess’ mother were also present for this special occasion.”

A moment of love

The heat didn’t stop Harry and Meghan from sharing a close and tender moment. During a visit to a school in Morocco, the Duke and Duchess visited with students.

In a break from structured events, the pair had eyes for each other as they shared an intimate moment on the sidelines. Meghan was photographed with her head on her husband’s shoulder. Never ashamed of showing off their love for one another, Harry’s quote about knowing he found his person, is perfect for this moment. “When did I know she was the one? The very first time we met.”

In this together – forever

Meghan was by her husband’s side as he attended the Mountbatten Festival of Music at Royal Albert Hall. It was an emotional event for Harry as he wore his military uniform for the last time at the event that celebrated veterans.

The photo shows the pair before as they lock hands and make their way into the music hall. Once inside, Harry became overwhelmed with emotion as he and his wife were greeted with a standing ovation.

While the Prince became visibly emotional, Meghan stepped in and rubbed his back. Clips from inside, show Meghan being right there to support him, holding on to his hand as they watched the performance.

Farewell

It’s only fitting that the most iconic taken of the pair was from one of their final engagements. In a shot by royal photographer, Samir Hussein, the Duke and Duchess were all smiles as they made their way into the Endeavour Fund Awards. Months earlier, the royal couple made the tough decision to step away from being senior royals.

“It is with your encouragement, particularly over the last few years, that we feel prepared to make this adjustment. We now plan to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honour our duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages. This geographic balance will enable us to raise our son with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity.

“We look forward to sharing the full details of this exciting next step in due course, as we continue to collaborate with Her Majesty The Queen, The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Cambridge and all relevant parties. Until then, please accept our deepest thanks.”
