¡Feliz Navidad! Check your mailbox... the Spanish royal family mailed out a beautiful batch of Christmas cards on Friday, December 13. King Felipe and Queen Letizia’s annual holiday photo is as cheery as ever, with their daughters Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía stealing the show. The sisters smile sweetly in-between their parents in the chosen mailer picture, which was taken from a balcony in the village of Asiegu, in northern Spain, back in October. And if the outside brings you all the holiday feels, just wait until you see what’s inside!
Feliz Navidad!
Felipe and Letizia complemented each other in dark coats for the photo. Our focus was on the Queen, of course, who looked smart in a fitted military-styled navy trench by her favorite brand Hugo Boss. Her 14-year-old and 12-year-old daughters stole the spotlight in completely matching khaki trench coats that topped their respectively pale ensembles.
Inside the card, the 51-year-old King and his 47-year-old wife wrote a lovely seasonal greeting to their supporters. “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2020,” a festive red font scribed in dual languages. Below that, each member of the family left their personal signatures.
The O.G.\'s card
King Carlos I and Queen Sofía, both 81, also sent out a separate Christmas card on the same date. Carlos looks dapper in a suit while Sofía is all smiles in a black daisy-adorned dress.
Season\'s Greetings
“Felices pascuas y año nuevo,” the card reads. This translates to: “Happy Easter and New Year.”
