As summertime approaches, minds inevitably wander to vacation destinations, and where better to get inspo than from royals and their top spots? Many of the European royals tend to stay in their home countries to highlight the natural beauty to followers, while others are happy to travel to distant climes to sample a taste of a different culture and its cuisine. From  Prince Harry  and  Meghan Markle ’s romantic safari stay in Botswana to the  Spanish royals  regular vacation on the gorgeous island of Mallorca. Botswana

The Southern African country of Botswana has always held a special place in Prince Harry ’s heart and he was excited to share it with wife Meghan Markle . The two celebrated her 36th birthday at the sustainable safari lodge Meno a Kwena from where they were able to participate in incredible safaris in the Okavango Delta. In fact, they always carry a piece of the country with them as Meghan’s engagement ring includes a diamond from the African country.

Swedish royals stay close to home

In 2019, Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar were pictured at Blue Virgin in Kalmar Sound on Sweden’s West Coast. With breathtaking views and plenty of natural life, the island is the perfect place for a memorable vacation.

Take a walk on the wild side at Knuthenborg Safari. This royal-approved park located on the island of Lolland in the southeast of Denmark is filled with giraffes, zebras and other animals walking freely among guests.

Queen Elizabeth’s sister Princess Margaret was the first royal to fall in love with this Caribbean paradise and it’s been a popular destination ever since. Prince William and Kate Middleton have taken their family there on numerous occasions.

Taste of Spain: Dutch royals

In 2019, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands attended the Feria de Sevilla. The Fair, which take place in the beautiful the beautiful city of Andalucia, is packed with vibrant color, dance and delicious tapas. Despite being canceled in 2020 due to COVID, the annual event is something worth planning for the upcoming year.

Spanish Royals Visit \'Son Marroig\' Museum

Mallorca, also known as Majorca, are a collection of islands located off the east coast of Spain. From wineries to aquatic activities like swimming with dolphins, the Mallorca has something to offer for everyone. Just take the Queen Letizia and her family. In 2019, the royal familia traveled to the island to visit Son Marroig, the former mansion of Archduke Luis Salvado.

Dutch Royal Family Summer Photo Call

If you’re into watersports, fishing, camping or even walking, look no further than Kagerplassen. In 2017, King Willem-Alexander, Queen Maxima, Crown Princess Amalia, Princess Alexia and Princess Ariane of The Netherlands attended the annual summer photo session held at the lake in South Holland.

Spanish royals set sail

King Felipe and Queen Letizia usually take their daughters Princess Leonor and Princess Sofia to the Spanish island of Mallorca every August. If Felipe isn’t participating in the Copa del Rey sailing competition, he’s hanging out with his family in the beautiful Marivent Palace in Palma de Mallorca.
