Growing up the youngest of 12 siblings, her parents, Julio Sodré and Analia Silva, named her Daiane after Diana, Princess of Wale. She began her modeling career when she was 18, quickly making a name for herself in Brazil. She eventually ventured to New York City, where her modeling career flourished.

She’s graced the covers and pages of top fashion magazines like Vogue Mexico, L’Officiel, and Maxim Mexico and walked the runway for renowned designers, including Giorgio Armani, Jeremy Scott, and Oscar de la Renta. The model has also collaborated with notable photographers such as Mark Seliger and Russell James.

As she gained notoriety, economic success, and power, she never lost sight of who she is, and her dedication to positive change, using her social capital to uplift communities around the world.

Notably, she is an ambassador for Delivering Good, a nonprofit organization committed to providing new merchandise donated by retailers and manufacturers to individuals affected by poverty and tragedy, offering hope, and self-esteem to at-risk children, families, and individuals.

She is also a spokesperson for Larger Than Life, an organization based in Israel that strives to enhance the quality of life for children battling cancer, and Dara Institute, which works to break the cycle of hospital readmissions of critically ill children from low-income backgrounds.

Giving back to her home country, she lends her support to Love Together Brazil, which focuses on bringing clean water to the northeast part of Brazil by drilling artesian wells and improving the health and education of the children in the area by creating and building a sports center.

Furthermore, she became the New York Ambassador to Brazil Child Health in 2018. The Brazilian nonprofit breaks the cycle of hospital readmissions for critically ill, low-income kids, tackling medical and socioeconomic factors.

With her growing success and commitment to social good, Sodré is one of the many Latinas using her platform for positivity and is an admirable woman in the industry
