Venezuelan beauty vlogger turned businesswoman Ydelays Rodriguez is a trailblazer in the industry. With a mission to create a brand where communities around the world feel inspired to dream, she inspires women through her love for beauty, while being eco-conscious and cruelty-free.

Rodriguez’s journey starts in a humble Venezuelan town, where her ambitious dreams and love for beauty sparked. She told Popsugar her grandma, who she was named after, had a beauty salon named Ydelays, where her mother was raised, learning all about beauty and hair. Those tips would be passed down to her, helping her career. Rodriguez’s father owned a photo studio and graphic design store, and she began helping him when she was 12. She said that’s where her love for all things audiovisual was born.

With the wisdom passed down by her family, as a young adult, she moved to Los Angeles. She started her YouTube channel in 2012, where she made a variety of videos about health and beauty, like makeup and nail polish videos. Rodriguez now has over 871k subscribers and over 64 million views.

Meanwhile, in 2013, she began working at Macy’s beauty counters. Here, she honed in on her expertise in skincare and makeup, where she learned which products enhanced shoppers‘ inner and outer beauty.

With the knowledge from her family and work, a rapidly growing channel, and an entrepreneurial spirit, Ydelays launched Golden Dream Beauty in 2019, introducing four styles of vegan false lashes.

“For me, “no puedo” and “no tengo tiempo” were never an option. My community of followers inspired me and kept me company when I wasn’t feeling my best,” she told Popsugar.

Since then, Ydelays has soared as a Latina influencer in the beauty realm, amassing an audience of over 1 million. She has formed partnerships with esteemed brands like YSL, Laura Mercier, Too Faced, Lancôme, and many more.

While she self-funded her company, she embarked on another exciting journey- motherhood. Her community has always stood by her, allowing her to propel her to build and expand Golden Dream Beauty.
