Claudia Christiane Endler Mutinelli is a Chilean professional soccer player known as the goalkeeper for Olympique de Lyon Feminine in Division 1 Féminine and the captain of the Chilean National Team.
It is believed that Endler is one of the best goalkeepers in the world and one of the best players in the history of her country. In 2021 she was recognized as the best goalkeeper in the world by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics; the athlete is, to date, the only Latin American selected for the 2021 Ballon d’Or. In 2022 she won The Best FIFA award for the best goalkeeper.
In May 2022, Endler was champion of the UEFA Women’s Champions League after beating Barcelona Women in the final 3-1. With that title, she became the fourth player in history to have won both the Copa Libertadores and the Champions League. In the same month, she became a two-time champion of Division 1 after beating her former team PSG on the last day 1-0.
She has played for the U-17 women’s soccer team and the U-20 women’s soccer team, participating in the U-17 Women’s Sudamericano and the 2008 U-20 Women’s Soccer World Cup.
The 30-year-old professional footballer began her career at 17, but at a younger age, she knew she had special abilities for sports. After trying several competitive games, she chooses soccer as a career.
