Mariale Marrero became a YouTuber in 2010 after all her favorite beauty content creators weren’t using makeup products she could find in Venezuela. To fill a gap in the Hispanic community and as a way to practice and improve her oratory, she embarked on the journey of filming videos.
Like most Hispanic kids, choosing a creative career has its challenges. Marrero’s dad was sick and, unfortunately, the only family member who could work; therefore, she knew the future was in her hands.
After she moved to the United States with her husband, her dad died of cancer, and she used filming videos to escape her pain. After making a name for herself in the industry, she launched an English-language channel to practice the language.
Being a Latina in the United States was also tricky; however, she slowly but surely found the support she needed. In April 2017, she launched her lipstick line called “Mariale,” In August 2018, Mariale was the official ambassador of Smashbox Cosmetics‘ collection “Ablaze,” sold in all the ULTA stores around the world.
Today the cross-cultural digital star is one of the most prominent U.S.-based Hispanic YouTube personalities. Her fan base surpasses the 13.5 million subscribers across all her YouTube channels.
