JLo started her career as a dancer, not knowing that she would become one of the most talked-about figures in the entertainment industry. Lopez quickly expanded into a businesswoman and started building an empire from perfumes, fashion, skincare, and even movies.
For years, Jennifer Lopez has been known for her glowy skin. Aware that her fans always tried to recreate her looks and know her beauty secrets, the singer, actress, and businesswoman bottled them all in JLo Beauty, a decades-in-the-making skincare collection infused with the superstar’s expertise and insights.
While working on her skincare brand, Lopez also tried to make baseball history. The Puerto Rican singer attempted to become the new owner of the New York Mets. Unfortunately, she couldn‘t make her dreams come true allegedly because of Alex Rodriguez’s friendship with Jeff Luhnow, former General Manager of the Houston Astros.
“Alex and I are so disappointed. We worked so hard the past 6 months with the dream of becoming the first minority couple and the first woman owner to buy her father’s favorite Major League Baseball team with her own hard-earned money. We still haven’t given up!! #NYForever,” JLo tweeted. In her latest appearance on Barstool Sports, she said that it is “important for women to have positions of power that they‘ve earned and deserve,” adding that they can contribute in a way that is just as good “as any man on the planet.”
Jennifer is not interested in having a chair at every table; she is building the tables and venturing into multiple deals. The star closed an agreement with Fit Plan, a personal fitness app to feature videos, nutrition, and workouts. She is also a minority owner of Kitu Life, Inc., a company that makes sugar-free beverages.
Recently, Jennifer traveled to the Bronx to meet with Latina founders and help them advance their businesses. She wrote on Instagram, “Thank you, David Solomon and your Goldman Sachs team, for bringing together this powerhouse group and creating the 10,000 Small Business Program so these Founders can get the access and resources they deserve. This is just the start of #LimitlessLabs and I can’t wait for what’s to come!”
“Thank you to all the incredible Latina entrepreneurs for sharing your stories and letting me share mine with you yesterday! You inspired me more than you will ever know. Remember, we’re not asking for a seat at the table … we’re the CEOs at the table!”
