Jacky Bracamontes

She is one of the most notorious Mexican telenovela actresses and personalities, one who’s achieved international acclaim by showing off the best of what the telenovela genre can do.

Jacky Bracamontes is a Mexican soap opera star, titleholder of several beauty pageants, who represented her country at Miss Universe 2001. Born in Guadalajara, Bracamontes first started her career in entertainment when ex-Miss Unvierse Lupita Jones contacted her to join Nuestra Belleza Mexico. After winning several titles, Jacky participated in the Miss Universe pageant representing her country in Puerto Rico.

Jacky began her acting career after being crowned Miss Mexico, in 2000. Her reach was spread even more when she was asked to host several shows and programs, like the Premios TVYNovelas, Fiesta Mexicana, and more. Her acting debut came in the year 2003, when she was cast in the Mexican telenovela “Alegrijes y Rebujos.” While she didn’t star in the title role, the telenovela was an important step in her career. A year later, Jacky was cast in “Rubi,” alongside Barbara Mori and Eduardo Santamarina. Her career in Mexico continued to escalate, landing her first lead role in the telenovela “Heridas de Amor,” alongside the Brazilian-born Guy Ecker. The show earned many wins and nominations at the TV Y Novelas Awards, including Best Telenovela of the Year and a nomination for Jacky as Best Actress.

Following her success on the small screen, Jacky starred in Mexican movies and in the very successful telenovela “Las Tontas No Van Al Cielo,” alongside Jaime Camil. Over the years she’s become one of the most notorious Mexican telenovela actresses and personalities, one who’s achieved international acclaim by showing off the best of what the telenovela genre can do. She has done voice work, being the Spanish dub voice of Susan in “Monsters Vs Aliens,” and, following her father’s footsteps of soccer analysis, is a long-term soccer fan. Jacky has hosted several programs throughout her career revolving around soccer, including world cup coverage.

Bracamontes is married to Martin Fuentes, a businessman, and racetrack racer. The couple has been married for 10 years and has five daughters together.
