Melania Trump's ultra-glamorous wedding gown, the custom Christian Dior by John Galliano masterpiece she wore to marry Donald Trump in 2005, may have a new home soon. The dress, originally valued at a whopping $100,000, is reportedly listed on eBay for a fraction of that price—$45,000 (or best offer). And that's not even the most surprising part.

Fashion writer Liana Satenstein dropped the scoop on her Neverworns Substack, revealing that a woman claiming to have purchased the couture gown from Melania is now trying to sell it online. The seller, who bought the dress for $70,000 in 2010 for her wedding, admitted to making some alterations—including adding straps, extra embroidery, and an additional satin layer at the bottom.

In other words, this isn't exactly the same iconic gown Melania wore when she graced the cover of Vogue in February 2005, looking every bit like a real-life princess. The modifications might make it a harder sell for collectors, but hey, if you've got $45K lying around and the gown was worn by the First Lady, it's still a piece of fashion history.

The Dress That Took 550 Hours to Make

Melania's wedding dress wasn't just expensive; it was an architectural feat that featured 300 feet of white duchesse satin, a 16-foot veil, intricate crystal beading, all hand-embroidered, a fitted bodice, a dramatic mermaid skirt, and a grand total of 550 hours of craftsmanship.

Oh, and it weighed 60 pounds. Imagine walking down the aisle in something heavier than some suitcases. No wonder Melania reportedly had to take "dance lessons" just to move in it.

An Unforgettable Wedding

Melania and Donald Trump tied the knot on January 22, 2005, in a lavish Palm Beach ceremony at the Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea. Their over-the-top reception at Mar-a-Lago was straight out of a billionaire's fantasy, complete with a five-foot-tall wedding cake covered in white icing and sugar flowers.

The guest list? A who's who of A-listers, including Heidi Klum, Shaquille O'Neal, Katie Couric, and even the Clintons (yes, really).

Trump's Anniversary Tribute

Fast-forward to 2025, and the former president celebrated 20 years of marriage with a nostalgic Instagram post featuring a throwback shot of Melania in her wedding dress. "Happy 20th Anniversary to Melania!" he wrote, marking two decades since the extravagant affair.

So, Who's Buying?

With the exquisite wedding dress now up for sale, the question remains: will it attract a dedicated fashion collector, an ardent Trump superfan, or a vintage couture enthusiast willing to make a significant investment? Only time will reveal the answer.

However, Melania's wedding gown stands out as one of history's most iconic and lavish bridal looks.
