When Eva Mendes combines humor with fashion, the result is always spectacular. This time, she took to Instagram to share a fun Garfield meme that perfectly captured the Monday blues—with the grumpy cat looking crazy, disheveled, and frazzled.

Wrapped in a stunning pink Stella McCartney coat, Mendes wasn’t just flaunting her style; she was spotlighting a great cause and her latest fashion campaign. The post is getting noticed, and some of our favorite celebs, like Vanessa Bryant and Rachel Zegler, are showing their love with likes.

Eva’s choice of wording and look for this latest Instagram post tied back to a campaign Stella McCartney launched back in September when the fashion house shared: “IT’S ABOUT F*ING TIME: It’s #AboutFuckingTime we ended the use of fur, leather and feathers. The message was to stop harming animals in the name of fashion. Citing a staggering statistic—over 3.4 billion birds are harmed or killed each year for feather down. Also highlighting the urgent need to protect avian species, nearly 50% of which are in decline.

When Eva first appeared on social media wearing this coat, she thanked the designer for the job, sharing what it meant to her.

“Gracias for getting me out of hiding, Stella! So incredibly proud of this one. Was the job I never knew I needed. Being involved with such an environmentally conscious brand that is cruelty-free in all ways has been a game changer for me on a cellular level.”

Choosing projects that matter

Eva Mendes clarified on Instagram in 2022 that she never quit acting, stating, "I wanted to be home with my babies and fortunately, my other business ventures allowed me to do that more than acting would." Consequently, she has simply shifted her focus to choose projects that align with her values.

This intention shines through in her recent children's book, Desi, Mami & the Never-Ending Worries, aimed at sparking conversations about anxiety in young readers."Desi, Mami & the Never-Ending Worries is a love letter to my kids and yours," Mendes says. She challenges societal values, questioning why parenthood, especially motherhood, isn't valued as much as it should be. "Why do we value a famous actor more than we would value a mother?" she asks.

Since the start of the year, pink has been a major hit among celebrities, becoming a wardrobe staple on and off the red carpet. Jennifer Lopez turned heads in Los Angeles with a dazzling pink faux fur coat, complete with sparkly rhinestone bows. Ariana Grande wowed in a fabulous pink Loewe gown at a red carpet event, while Katie Holmes rocked the color in her effortlessly cool street style. Even Queen Rania of Jordan joined the pink trend, looking absolutely stunning in an Oscar de la Renta dress.

It's clear that pink is having a big moment this year, and by Mendes posing with this pink coat, she is not only embracing fashion, she is also rethinking how we impact the planet by promoting meaningful change through her work.
