On April 29, 2011, Kate Middleton married Prince William , heir to the British throne, wearing a dress that remains one of the most well-remembered gowns worn by any royal in recent years. The white and ivory piece had a voluminous skirt with silk flowers, a sweetheart neckline and a long-sleeve French lace bodice on top. It was crafted for her by the creative director of Alexander McQueen, Sarah Burton.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West got married on May 24, 2014. The KUWTK star and businesswoman lived her special day covered in a high-fashion gown full of embroidery, made by Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy, with a mermaid silhouette and cut-out details at the waist.

The wedding between entrepreneur and influencer, Chiara Ferragni , and rapper Fedez took place in Sicily on September 1, 2018, although the celebration was spread over the course of three days. For the special day, the bride wore two designs from Dior Haute Couture created by Maria Grazia Chiuri. The most classic of the two was the one seen in this picture, with a crochet bodice and tulle skirt that required more than 400 yards of fabric to create. Her reception dress was made of pink embroidered tulle.

Alessandra de Osma and Prince Christian of Hanover were married in a religious ceremony in Peru in 2018. For her special day, the bride chose Spanish designer Jorge Vázquez to create her elegant gown: a classic princess silhouette with Chantilly lace, double-gauge silk, a sweetheart neckline and high-neck overlay.

Gwen Stefani tied the knot with singer and guitarist Gavin Rossdale in 2002 wearing a gown designed by John Galliano for Dior. The wedding celebration for Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas lasted an entire week. For the Hindu ceremony, the actress wore a red lehenga personalized by designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee, and for the Christian ceremony, a custom-made design by Ralph Lauren. Her dress received a lot of attention, not only because it had over two million mother-of-pearl sequins and special words and phrases stitched into the embroidery, but also because of the tulle veil, which was 25 yards long.

September 29, 2019, Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber had a huge wedding celebration, after they had already had a “secret” civil ceremony the year before. Although she wore four dresses, this one was the most striking, mostly because of the veil which had the phrase “‘Till death do us part” embroidered into the bottom. Who was behind the design? After a seven-year relationship, the sister of model Cara Delevingne, Poppy, said “I do” to her boyfriend, James Cook, wearing a Chanel Haute Couture gown, designed by Karl Lagerfeld. The design that the English model and actress chose had a rounded neck, short sleeves, and was covered in embroidered flowers. It also had a tulle train attached to the skirt which she later took off for the evening festivities.

The Duchess of Cambridge’s older sister, Pippa Middleton , got married on May 20, 2017, to financial executive James Matthews.
