Carolina Herrera’s Wes Gordon presented the FallWinter 2020 collection on Tuesday, and even though Duchesses Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle were not in attendance, there’s a slew of looks we can see them getting excited for. The designer celebrated his second anniversary with the New York-based label and is finding a way between keeping the brand’s iconic romantically feminine silhouettes while injecting a youthful touch. Hence why we can see both Meghan and Kate rocking some of these silhouettes.
And even though volume and maximal prints are signatures of Carolina Herrera , Wes Gordon’s approach brings a new wave of softened designs that are just as impactful. Prince Harry ’s wife is known to be attracted to neutrals when it comes to her clothing choices, meanwhile, her sister-in-law, leans towards a little more color.
Scroll through the gallery to see some of the looks we envision Meghan and Kate would love to welcome into their wardrobes.
Monochrome
On several occasions, Kate has shown her affinity towards dark greens and fitted knit dresses. We can see her wearing this look for a daytime engagement – boots and all.
Into the blues
This look is perfect for a fancy royal dinner or an important engagement.
Chic n’ minimal
Perhaps the veil is a little much for the Duchess of Cambridge, but it’s not entirely out of reach for her, wouldn’t you agree?
Unmellow yellow
This bold yellow dress would serve Prince William’s wife well during a tropical vacay or luxe garden party at Kensington Palace.
Dressed in neutrals
Meghan loves a trusty trench dress, but his sophisticated cape-dress would be an excellent addition to her neutrals-filled closet.
Red carpet-ready
Archie’s mom would wear the most out of this standout ensemble.
Showing off (shoulders)
Meghan’s preference for boat necklines makes this off-shoulder dress a total winner for her next gala.
Well suited
A structured blazer and untailored trousers bring a cool twist to the trim suits she traditionally wears.
