Big volume clutch

The Pouch by Bottega Veneta has been the talk of the town amongst fashionistas this season. Its size – with more than 15 inches long – and soft structure gives it a cloud-like feel. Since its debut collection by Creative Director Daniel Lee, stars such as Rihanna have been spotted carrying it.

Twisted Sisters

Big capacity clutches have also caught the eye of the likes of Elsa Hosk, Rosie Huntington Whiteley and Kourtney Kardashian . However, as Chiara Ferragni shows, if the purse has a plaited finish then you’ve hit this season’s trend on the head. Bottega Veneta’s leather weaving Intrecciato technique is now synonymous with the company and gives its purses a timeless appeal.

Quilted charcoal

Jumbo-sized purses are certainly eye-catching. Chanel’s take on the design, which has a mid-way flap, has become one of Kylie Jenner’s favorite bags. The bag with its nineties vibe, which has been a frequent trend, has a charcoal finish, chain strap and quilted rhomboidal shapes.

Baguette bag

Kendall Jenner loves baguette style purses – a style created by Silvia Venturini Fendi in 1997 – which gives a nod to the traditional French bread that is often carried underneath the arm. This particular version is by Louis Vuitton and has the name of the brand written in the form of graffiti across it. It’s from the collection inspired by Stephen Sprouse 2009, and features a very thin strap by which to carry it.

Feathered Thrill

Sometimes fashion seems to be very futuristic while at other times we’re reminded of the olden days like with this purse that Camila Coelho carried, complete with a golden chain. The hypnotic movement of the feathers gives it a playful feel and it’s no surprise that this kind of purse has been spotted various times on the arms of celebrities.

Pure minimalism

Medea has converted the classic shape of a paper bag into a luxury purse. Celebrities such as Kaia Gerber are big fans of their designs, such as this model called The Prima, with a short handle and 100% leather. For extra security, it has magnetic clasps and protective metal feet. Its minimalism is its greatest selling point and borders on utilitarian in style. And it comes in vibrant colors or neutral tones.

The mini

Mini-sized purses will keep appearing on must-have lists, inspite of their limited storage capacities. One of the most popular is Le Chiquito by Jacquemus, and it’s one of the most photogenic judging by the amount of fashionista Instagram accounts it’s appeared on – such as that of Leonie Hanne. Not the most practical or versatile of purses. But it is super cute!

Hybrid Handbag

Here Olivia Culpo shows off the The Multi Pochette Accessoires by Louis Vuitton which is described as a hybrid purse with plenty of pockets and compartments that gives it a rounded wallet feel. Brilliantly versatile, it can be worn cross body style or over the shoulder.

Clasp of gold

Neutral colors are always a great option for purses given that they will go with anything in your closet. This shoulder bag that Brittany Xavier uses is the perfect example and has the classic golden logo clasp that always adds that extra touch of glamor.

Fetching furriness

Another adorable option is the fur bag, as demonstrated by Danielle Bernstein. As fake fur coats have taken over the streets this fall-winter, it’s no surprise that the cuddly fabric should spill over into bags. This particular style is a tote bag, perfect for more informal looks during the colder months.

Chains ‘n’ crocs

Chains are often a feature of purses but sometimes they become the stand-out characteristic. Such as in this over-sized resin chain on Rocky Barnes’s bag which gives it a funky modern edge. The crocodile effect, on the other hand, is a classic choice for purse material and the two conflicting elements combine perfectly.

The shopper bag

And let’s not forget the eternal shopper bags! Victoria Beckham has a favorite from her own brand which ticks all the right boxes. Made of leather with a rounded, flexible form and silver fittings, this is a more practical day-to-day choice.
