Like all women, Kate Middletonhas her favorite clothes that she wears repeatedly and her gala dresses are no exception. One of her favorite designers, Jenny Packman, is behind many of the gowns that we’ve seen the Duchess of Cambridge in at premieres, state events and other glamorous night outs. Here we take a look at some of the dresses she’s worn the most:
Shoulderless glamour
In June 2019, the Duchess of Cambridge chose this ivory colored dress with panel detailing and an off-the-shoulder vibe by Barbara Casasola, to attend the annual Addiction Awareness Week gala.
Three years previously...
It was first seen in June 2016 for a dinner at the National History Museum. Adding a shiny clutch to the outfit gave it an added touch of elegance.
Floral short-sleeved glam
Heading to the National Portrait Gallery gala in March 2019, Kate wore this black dress with a white floral pattern by Alexander McQueen. She accessorized with a black clutch purse and her hair in loose waves.
Different event, different neckline
Two years earlier this gala gown had an off-the-shoulder neckline and was worn to the BAFTA Awards with an elegant up-do and diamond earrings.
Rose pearl sequinned elegance
For the East Anglia's Children's Hospices dinner in June 2016, the Duchess chose a Jenny Packham dress with see-through sleeves and vertically aligned sequinned detailing.
A dreamy number that had been debuted in 2011
Only two months after marrying Prince William , Kate stunned in this same design at the 10th Annual ARK gala dinner, accessorized with a clutch in the same tone.
Terrific in teal
At the Tusk Awards in November 2018, she wore this teal toned dress, by Jenny Packham, accessorized with a clutch in the same hue.
Up-do for a change-up
In May 2012, she wore this almost identical look to the
Our Greatest Team Rises -BOA Olympic Concert at the Royal Albert Hall. On this occasion, she had her hair up in an elegant bun.
Lady in red
At the annual reception of the Diplomatic Corps at Buckingham Palace in December 2016, the Duchess looked divine in a custom made red Jenny Packham dress topped off with a tiara.
Different tiara for a new look
The lace dress was first worn at a state banquet for Chineses Presidente Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan in 2015. This time, the Cambridge Lover's Knot was the tiara of choice.
Wrap around magic
This dark green dress with a crossed-body detail and accessorized with a black velvet belt was Kate’s choice for the 600th Anniversary Dinner at St. Andrews, in December 2014.
A firm favorite
And if this silk dress looks familiar, that’ll be because she’s worn it on at least three occasions. She let her hair down in it at the Portrait Gala, in February 2014 and was first seen in October 2013.
Black lace beauty
Just like the former gown, this maxi dress by Temperley London is another of her absolute favorites. She wore it in December 2013 to the Museum of Natural History in London.
Adding a pop of color
Back in November 2012, the Duchess rewore the dress to a dinner reception at her old University of St. Andrews. She added a perfect pop of color with the red clutch purse that she carried for the occasion.
First seen in 2012
This lace layered gala dress was first worn at the premiere of War Horse at the Odeon Leicester Square in January 2012. On all three occasions, she wore her gorgeous hair loose.
Kate shows that she knows what works best for her and we’re sure we’ll see lots more of her recycled looks in years to come.
