The entire nation’s eyes were on Jennifer Lopez and Shakira as the Latina duo literally (and figuratively) shined onstage at the Super Bowl LIV. From the killer sparkly red outfit Shakira debuted in, to the crystallized silver mesh bodysuit JLo rocked during her performance, the ladies of the hour managed to entertain viewers with a medley of some of their most iconic songs and stellar dance moves. Of course, both JLo and Shakira stunned in a slew of sexy, shiny looks, which led to the most asked question: what is their secret to agelessness.
Shakira, who turned 43 that same day, and Jennifer, 50, each gave it their all while donning a number of daringly sexy, jaw-dropping outfits by Atelier Versace and custom Peter Dundas. Their looks and moment on stage were so good we almost forgot there was a whole football game final happening.

Shakira kicked off the halftime show wearing a sparkly red ensemble made up of a cropped bustier top with cross straps and a removable corset that reveals a fringe skirt by Peter Dundas. According to the designer, “all red Swarovski crystal separates symbolizing fire, and animal passion.”

Her second look kicked it up a notch as it transformed into a Deco embellished bustier top with front panel paired with a bugle bead fringe mini skirt with Swarovski crystals, feathers and stud trim.
Golden star
The Hips Don’t Lie singer switched up her crimson look for a golden ensemble and wore a custom Dundas bomber jacket with gold paillette embroidery featuring a Shakira monogram alongside a panther motif – all in gold and white Swarovski crystals. Her jacket was teamed with a gold crop top in matching gold paillette and matching high waisted hot pants with Adidas Superstar sneakers customized with Swarovski gold crystals.
Dundas explained the gold is “for celebration and for the champion that is Shakira.”
Jenny From the Block
JLo first appeared rocking a sexy leather bodysuit by Atelier Versace. According to the Italian label, her suit was inspired by the Fall-Winter 1991 collection and was studded by hand. The custom piece was “enriched with heritage chains” and took 900 hours to complete.

Her second look – a semi-sheer bodysuit – was made of lustrous leather, plastic and Swarovski crystals and took over 700 hours of hand embroidery. The exclusive garment features a heritage geometric neckline.
Red, white and blue
During a moment with her daughter Emme, the entertainer appeared wearing an American/Puerto Rico flag coat, which according to fashion stylist Mariel Haenn, was: “40,000 red, blue, and white feathers all individually sewn in. Each star has 40 Swarovski crystals and the Puerto Rican star has 2,000 crystals all individually placed.”
Look # 3
JLo’s final look was inspired by salsa and her heritage, and it took over 1,200 hours of craftsmanship to make the ultra-sparkly creation.
Shining stars
While Shakira’s looks were inspired by herself and her music, JLo’s outfits were created with Versace’s values in mind: confidence, individuality and female empowerment. Congrats to these powerhouse Latinas!
