She launched Google images the first time at the 2000 Grammys, managed to top herself waltzing down the runway in Milan last fall and even dusted off the showstopper for her recent Saturday Night Live hosting stint. Now, the 50-year-old entertainer is back in the leafy print for a trendy new Versace ad campaign and we couldn’t be more excited. Except this time around, the look’s boasting a 2020 flare!
“I am so excited I can finally reveal that I am the face of the #VersaceSS20 campaign!” Jennifer wrote to her fans along with a collection of stunning pro shots. “Thank you to @Donatella_Versace and everyone at @Versace for your vision and collaboration.” We love the boss blazer version she’s wearing here, cut from the cloth of her 2000s glam.
Meanwhile, Versace elaborated on the premise behind the new shoot, writing: “Photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, and featuring @jlo, #VersaceSS20 campaign imagery explores the blurring of lines between public and private life in today’s internet society.”
Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, JLo entered “Jennifer Lopez Versace” into the search bar while donning the fiery flapper look of our dreams.
“To me, Versace represents empowerment,” Jennifer told the brand. “It’s a dream to collaborate with my friend @donatella_versace again on this gorgeous campaign and to create something new and fresh out of a piece of iconic fashion history.”
“Couldn’t resist joining Jennifer for a quick shot!” Donatella wrote along with this sweet and stylish snap of the power pair. The Spring Summer 2020 Campaign is an homage to the pair’s two decade long friendship.
