Rosalía is officially stepping into the world of "Euphoria" and the first on-set videos prove it. The Spanish singer is trading flamenco beats for HBO drama as one of the new faces in the hit show's third season.

While she previously made a blink-and-you-miss-it cameo in Pedro Almodóvar's "Pain and Glory," this marks her first major acting role in a globally acclaimed series. And she's not easing into it; she's jumping in as one of the leads.

"I've never done anything like this, and I'm really excited," she said at Vanity Fair's Oscars afterparty. She also confirmed then that filming was already underway.

The First Videos Are Here

Rosalía appears alongside Alexa Demie (aka Maddy Pérez, queen of chaos and flawless eyeliner). Rosalía is rocking a neck brace; the same one teased in HBO's cryptic promo images, which has fans spiraling into theory mode.

There is no official word yet on who she plays, but the fact that she's pictured with Maddy has people guessing their storylines will intertwine. Frenemies? Long-lost cousins? Secret vigilantes? We'll have to wait and see.

In her February statement, Rosalía said, "If there's anything that excites me as much as crafting a great melody or writing a killer lyric, it's becoming a better artist every day. Euphoria has been my favorite show for years, and I couldn't be happier or more grateful to be acting alongside such incredibly talented people, adding my little spark and creating magic."

 Plot Twists and a Monastery?

Season 3 of "Euphoria" will leap five years into the future, according to costume designer Heidi Bivens in a recent Vogue interview.

But don't get too hyped just yet; the new season isn't expected to drop until 2026. We'll wait a while before Rosalía hits our screens as an HBO-certified heartbreaker.

New Acting Era, New Music Era?

While her acting debut has fans excited, Rosalía isn't pressing pause on her music. Charli XCX may have casually let it slip at her second Coachella show that Rosalía is set to drop new music this summer.

There are a few cryptic photos featuring crucifixes and rumors of a music video shot in late 2024 at a Montserrat monastery with a children's choir in tow. Gothic, dramatic, cinematic, very Rosalía.

During an interview with Highsnobiety, Rosalía shared how she felt about her new project. “It’s been a process,” she explained. “I’ve changed a lot, but at the same time, I’m still wrapping my head around the same things. It’s like I still have the same questions and the same desire to answer them.”

“I still have the same love for the past and the same curiosity for the future,” she added. The singer also admitted that her biggest musical influences are Bon Iver, Kate Bush, and Janis Joplin, but her current “biggest influences are reading paper books.”
