Shakira’s 'Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran' World Tour is getting even bigger! Due to overwhelming fan demand, the global superstar has just announced two extra stadium dates in New York and Miami, and fans couldn’t be more excited.
Shakira will hit the stage at MetLife Stadium on Friday, May 16, and at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Saturday, June 7, in addition to the previous dates that were scheduled.
This exciting update follows the wild success of her Latin American leg, where Shakira made history with a jaw-dropping seven-show run at Mexico City’s Estadio GNP Seguros. She became the first artist to have this achievement, with fans thrilled to see her perform.
Shakira’s return to Mexico has had an undeniable economic impact. With over 450,000 fans filling the stands at Estadio GNP Seguros, the show gave a major boost to the local economy, including a notable 5% jump in hotel occupancy during her shows.
The Latin American leg also had some unforgettable moments. Shakira’s hometown of Barranquilla got a long-awaited treat as she performed there for the first time in 19 years, and the city honored her with a statue, marking her lasting legacy.
The stadium performances had a Carnival theme, bringing all the fun and energy to her home country. Shakira is also dominating the charts. For the first time ever, she landed the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Top Tour Ranking, becoming the first Latin female artist to achieve this massive milestone.
With even more dates on the horizon, her 'Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran' World Tour is shaping up to be the tour of the year, and fans from around the world are traveling to see the incredible performances, including celebrities and Hollywood stars, who recently attended her shows in Mexico, including Eva Longoria and Jessica Alba.
