Jennifer Lopez continues to share her excitement for her upcoming Netflix project ‘Office Romance.' The Hollywood star is focusing on her professional career and has a busy schedule, as she is currently filming the new project, following the premiere of 'Kiss of the Spider Woman' at Sundance earlier this year.
Now the star is sharing more details of the romantic comedy, revealing that the latest addition to the cast is none other than her on-screen dad Edward James Olmos. The pair first met on the set of 'SELENA,' with Olmos playing Selena Quintanilla's father, Abraham Quintanilla, in the 1997 biopic that launched JLo to stardom.
Jennifer shared the news accompanied by a sweet photo from their time filming the biopic, next to a new photo, seemingly recreating the moment. The two actors were happy to be reunited for a new project, and JLo described it as a "full circle" moment.
"From ‘Selena’ to now, this journey has come full circle…SWIPE to see the big news. We’re thrilled to welcome the incredible Edward James Olmos to ‘Office Romance’!" Jennifer wrote on Instagram, with fans sharing their excitement for the upcoming project.
"OMG!! What amazing news, it's going to be a special project! I loved you redoing the photo," one person wrote, while someone else commented, "So amazing, so nice to see you work together again."
What we know about 'Office Romance':
'Office Romance' comes from the minds of 'Ted Lasso' creators Brett Goldstein and Joe Kelly, who wrote the film's script. Goldstein, known for his role as the beloved Roy Kent in Ted Lasso, isn’t just behind the scenes—he will also star alongside Jennifer Lopez.
The film is being directed by Ol Parker, whose previous directing credits include Ticket to Paradise (starring George Clooney and Julia Roberts) and Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again!, both of which were huge hits.
Jennifer has long been a rom-com queen, and her return to the genre is sure to excite fans who adore her ability to blend romance with humor and drama.
