Final Destination is back with a new gory entry. The beloved horror franchise that has resulted in films, books and comic books, teases the start of it all in a new trailer.
"Final Destination: Bloodlines" is the sixth film in the franchise, following Stefanie, a college student who returns home to try to understand the terrifying nightmares that have been plaguing her and are putting her family at risk.
According to the film's press release, "Bloodlines" takes viewers "back to the very beginning of Death’s twisted sense of justice." The film stars Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, and the late franchise veteran Tony Todd.
The trailer teases an idyllic family barbecue that suddenly begins to go wrong, with a piece of glass ending up on a drinking glass, a dangerous misplaced beer, and a scary incident while jumping on a trampoline.

More details about 'Final Destination'
"Final Destination" began in 2000, with a film following a teenager who escapes death after having a premonition of his plane exploding mid-air, killing most of his classmates. Death then begins to hound the survivors, with all of them trying to figure out what is going on.
Subsequent films are all built upon the concept of elaborate deaths, with a protagonist helping his friends escape a disaster, only for death to trail them for the rest of the film.
The films have managed to endure, becoming fixtures in the horror genre. "Bloodlines" marks the first film in the franchise since 2011, and is written by Guy Busick, with a story developed by Jon Watts, who directed the Tom Holland-led "Spider-Man" films.
It's directed by Adam Stein and Zach Lipovsky, and will premiere in theaters on May 16.
