Shakira confirms she's back! Set to perform in Peru tonight after hospital stay

Shakira left fans anxiously awaiting updates after revealing that she had been hospitalized on Saturday night and canceling her highly anticipated concert at Lima's National Stadium. Concerned for her health, they flooded social media with messages of support and well wishes. 

With uncertainty surrounding Monday's rescheduled show, Peruvian fans remained on edge. Today, good news came as Shakira has now been discharged and took to social media to confirm that tonight's performance will go on as planned.

Shakira turned to Instagram Stories to connect with fans, sharing two tour-related videos. First, she encouraged attendees to document their experiences, inviting them to upload photos and videos to a dedicated digital platform. In the second post, she put lingering doubts to rest, confirming that the show is on and providing details about stadium entry times and the concert start.

On Sunday night, Shakira took a heartfelt moment to thank her fans for their overwhelming support following her hospitalization. "Thank you all for your kind messages. They give me so much strength! I love you with all my heart," she wrote, visibly touched by the outpouring of love.

As for the canceled Sunday concert, Shakira assured fans that her team and the event's promoters are already working on rescheduling.

On Sunday afternoon, Shakira broke her silence on the rumors about her health. "I regret to inform you that last night I had to go to the emergency room due to an abdominal condition and am currently hospitalized," she revealed. "The doctors have advised me that I am not well enough to perform tonight," she added.
