If you love live music and giving back, you're in for a treat as the 9th annual Love Rocks NYC benefit concert is set for March 6 at the Beacon Theatre. This year's show is packing a seriously star-studded lineup that feels like a true dream for any music fan.
Imagine this: Alicia Keys, Beck, and Cher are taking the stage alongside Christone "Kingfish" Ingram and Dave Stewart Eurythmics feat. Vanessa Amorosi and Eric Burton of Black Pumas. Grace Bowers, Jesse Malin, Kate Hudson, Luke Spiller, Mavis Staples, Michael McDonald, Peter Frampton, The War and Treaty, and Trey Anastasio will also take over the Beacon Theatre.
The Cause
Beyond being an epic night of music, Love Rocks NYC supports God's Love We Deliver—a New York nonprofit that's been cooking up and delivering medically tailored meals since 1985. This year marks their 40th anniversary; they've already delivered over 40 million meals. Since 2017, the concert series has raised around $50 million, funding millions of meals for New Yorkers in need.
In addition, funds will support Project Angel Food in Los Angeles, which helps those affected by the recent wildfires.
Alicia Keys's performance will follow her appearance at the 2025 Grammys telecast, which was reimagined to raise funds for MusiCares Fire Relief in support of the people affected by the wildfires. Keys, who accepted the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award, delivered a powerful acceptance speech. "I always had to fight for a certain level of respect as a songwriter, a composer, and especially, a producer," Keys began. "It's strange that we don't think of women as producers like Quincy [Jones] or [Dr.] Dre or Swizzy, but female producers have always powered the industry," she continued, referring to how she was the first woman to receive the honor despite female producers Patrice Rushen, Missy Elliott, Linda Perry, Grimes, and Solange Knowles carving the path. "We stand together, so it's a beautiful feeling to be acknowledged for the thing I always thought people didn't really recognize about me."
Extra Special Appearances
Adding to the fun, you'll catch appearances by Alex Edelman, Amy Schumer, Susie Essman, and Tracy Morgan throughout the evening. Their friendly banter and unexpected moments are sure to keep the energy high and the crowd engaged.
