The Super Bowl is just days away on Sunday, February 9, and while football fans can't wait to see Taylor Swift's boyfriend Travis Kelce and the rest of the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Eagles, animal fans are ready for a day of adorable fun. In addition to the Puppy Bowl, which has 11 adoptable special needs dogs playing, there is the Great American Rescue Bowl.
Puppies and kittens will take the field for the third year for the two-hour special from 12 PM – 2 PM ET on Great American Family. The Great American Family Channel and North Shore Animal League America, the world's largest no-kill rescue and adoption organization, are putting on the event.
The animals are broken up into either Team Totally Take Me Homes or Team Sweetie Pies and will play from noon–2 p.m. ET. "The plight of animal homelessness continues to be pervasive throughout the country," the Great American Family Channel wrote on the website. "This showcase for adorable kittens, puppies, cats, and dogs is a proven difference maker in helping pets find their forever home." Meet the cats playing in the game.
Taking on duties as the team coach, Deli-Kit is ready to coach young kittens to have fun and enjoy every day. The adopted cat's favorite play is the Calico Crawler.
Lil Stinker is an adopted Pet-Receiver. Their fun fact is they would love to see the world from a knapsack with a clear window, and their favorite play is the Soft Paw.
