Melania Trump is getting the documentary treatment. The film will be released in theaters and on Amazon Prime Video, and the company released a statement saying it would provide viewers with a behind-the-scenes look at Melania's life.
Brett Ratner will direct the documentary, which remains untitled, with Melania serving as one of the film's producers. The film began filming in early December, the month following the presidential elections. It will premiere during the second half of the year.
This marks Ratner's first project since 2017, when he was accused of sexual misconduct by various women. He has denied these claims.
Amazon released a statement that revealed the film would provide “viewers an unprecedented, behind-the-scenes look at First Lady Melania Trump.”
“Prime Video will be sharing more details on the project as filming progresses and release plans are finalized. We are excited to share this truly unique story with our millions of customers around the world,” said an Amazon spokesperson, per CNN.
Melania is posed to make her return to the White House this month. “I’m not anxious because this time is different," she said in an interview with Fox News.
"I have much more experience and much more knowledge. I was in the White House before. When you go in, you know exactly what to expect."
A look at Melania's inner world
As Melania readies to return to the public eye on a more permanent basis as First Lady, she's been sharing more of her thoughts with her followers, including a documentary and a memoir that came out last year, titled, "Melania".
The book came out in October, becoming a #1 New York Times Best Seller. It remains a bestseller on Amazon.
Experts predict Melania will spend the next four years traveling between her various homes in Palm Beach and New York while making the necessary appearances in Washington.
