Karol G to release her first Netflix documentary; 'A story born from dreams'

Karol G is kicking off the new year with some big news. The Colombian artist will star in her first documentary, which will air on Netflix at some point next year. The project will be produced and directed by the Emmy-award-winning filmmaker Cristina Constantini.

Karol G made the announcement on social media, sharing a photo of a napkin with a message written on it.

“A story born from dreams that seemed impossible, fueled by unwavering faith,” reads the note. “A relentless journey that defied all odds. My life. My work. My truth. And the powerful connection I share with you all. My dream came true.”

Netflix shared a press release shortly after, providing a little bit more background. The statement said that the documentary served as “an intimate portrait of a global music icon — the woman behind the artist.” 

The documentary is produced by This Machine, Bichota Films and Interscope Films.

Karol G's documentary will be released in 2025

Karol G has been enjoying the holidays

Earlier this December, Karol G shared a look at her vacation this year with her boyfriend Feid. The two Colombian singers spent some days in Tahiti, where they shared a look at some of the activities they'd done together, including plenty of time spent by the beach, enjoying amazing drinks, taking photos, going scuba diving, and going on stunning hikes. 

The post was made up of photos and videos that were shared on Instagram. She captioned it, "Stay," adding various emojis like the wave, flowers, the sun and some hearts.

The post was met with a lot of love from their friends and followers, who shared their thoughts in the comments section. "Enjoy! That island is magical" wrote Ricky Martin.

"More than well-deserved!!!" wrote Olga Tañon.

"So beautiful," wrote Eiza Gonzalez
